This Gin is the result of more than two years of work in a recipe created by João Oliveira and Paulo Martins, who chose a dozen botanists, some of them typically Alentejo.

To the juniper they gathered the coriander, orange, lemon, cinnamon, lily root, chamomile, orange blossom, lúcia lime, thistle, corn beards and honey.
Monte da Bica has existed for more than seven decades and comes from there the name of the brand, some of the botanicals used and also the source water that exists in the place.
The used alembic was specially made for Monte da Bica and designed for typical Portuguese stills, it has 500l, it works in a water bath, it is wood-fired in a "donkey brick" furnace and with reflux dente. It is a still that truly reflects the artisanal character of this distillate.
