Lista de produtos da marca Jameson
Jameson is a blended Irish Whiskey, produced by Irish Distillers, affiliated company of Pernod Ricard.
The company was founded in 1780 when John Jameson created the Bow Street Distillery in Dublin.
Jameson was Scottish, a lawyer for Alloa, married to Margaret Haig, the sister of the founders of the leading Haig companies, who were related to the Steins, a Scottish family from the distillery who had business in Dublin. In the collection of the National Gallery of Ireland there are portraits of John and Margaret Jameson, belonging to Sir Henry Raeburn.
Originally one of Dublin's top six Whiskeys, Jameson is now distilled in the city of Cork. In 2013, annual sales reached 4 million boxes (48 million bottles). Jameson is arguably the best selling Irish Whiskey in the world, and has been selling in the international market since the early nineteenth century, when John Jameson and his son (also called John) produced more than one million gallons (3.8 million liters ) per annum.
