Lista de produtos da marca Amarula
The exotic marula fruit is found only in the sub-Saharan plains of Africa, where it grows wild and for only a few weeks of the year. Not only is it delicious, it is also rich in vitamin C, potassium, calcium and magnesium, as well as rich in protein. Today marula trees grow abundantly in the wild and are found in many parts of South Africa. The fruit is highly prized not only by humans but also by animals. It is eaten by elephants (the symbol of Amarula), rhinoceros, baboons, monkeys and even zebras. Marula trees grow very tall and can reach a height of 9 metres to 18 metres and bear 500 kg or more of fruit per year. When the fruit falls to the ground, it is collected by women in the local rural communities, before being delivered for Amarula production in Phalaborwa, which has become a valuable source of income for their families. At the Amarula production centre, each fruit is individually checked to ensure that it is fully ripened and free from blemishes.
